Living at Manunui
We have lived at Manunui Estate in Pakiri for nine years and continue to feel incredibly fortunate to call it home.
We recently downsized from our four-bedroom, three-bathroom home into a 65sqm minor dwelling while we wait to build our dream home on the same site.
Our little “Treetops” cottage is set on long piles amongst the native bush, with beautiful views towards the Hen and Chicken Islands in the Hauraki Gulf.
The best of both worlds
Everywhere we look is lush, verdant bush, and I never cease to be amazed by the incredible shades of green that nature provides.
Manunui is a truly special place. With its north-facing outlook, peaceful surroundings and abundance of native bush, it is a place that seems to quieten the soul.
We have beautiful pūriri and taraire trees just off our deck, and on one occasion I counted six wood pigeons (kererū) sitting in the branches—close enough to almost reach out and touch them.
All the lots have been thoughtfully placed to enhance their views and privacy, with the development still having a wonderful sense of community.
For us, Manunui truly offers the best of both worlds—peace, privacy and an extraordinary connection with nature.
